Here at Rev n You we provide in depth real estate investing training to people all over the world! Rev N You all started in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, Canada. Co-founders Juile Broad and Dave Penuik have spent their lives since their early 20s investing in real estate back in 2002. They didn’t know what issues to look out for and wished they had programs available when they started. It would minimize the mistakes they made. Juile and Dave created their own education based on their “learn the hard way” experiences. Julie Broad wrote the book called More than Cashflow – The real risks & rewards of profitable real estate investing. Once they stepped back, they moved to California to live their dreams.
New ownership began in 2019 to our new Rev N You Team; Gary Spencer-Smith, Karysa Brossoit, and Doug Meyers. They plan to keep all Dave and Julie’s original Courses and knowledge a part of Rev N You. They are keeping up with the real estate economics and rules to help guide their students in today’s conditions. With all three of our combined experience along with Dave & Julie’s they plan to provide a more advanced school for our students.
Meet The Award Winning Team
Gary Spencer-Smith
Gary was born in the UK and started investing in his native country during his time in the Royal Navy, He emigrated to Canada after 11 years of service, which saw him travel all over the world before settling on Vancouver Island. Investing on the island for over ten years now, Gary has won awards from Canadian Real Estate Wealth Magazine and The Real Estate Investment Network for his strategies and success, and been nominated for countless others.
Gary enjoys the lifestyle investing in real estate affords him and has a passion for helping others change their financial futures by using real estate as the catalyst. “When I see people finally realize they can totally change their lives, it’s like a light goes on, then they know what is truly possible for their lifestyle and the future of themselves and those around them. That’s why I teach!”
Karysa Brossoit
Karysa enjoys everything that life has to offer. From sports, to painting, to being outdoors. She enjoys hiking 5-7 days at a time on adventures like the West Coast Trail. “The best thing about being a real estate investor is when the weather is beautiful I can chase the sun and enjoy it even if its a Wednesday.”
Karysa knew right out of high school that she didn’t like the idea of picking a career, doing the 9-5 job, and working set hours to get paid a set amount of money for the rest of her life. After analyzing the lifestyle associated with a typical career, she realized she didn’t want to work her life away and not have time to do all the things she truly wanted to be doing. Karysa discovered real estate investing through the action of friends and family close to her and decided to dive into it, becoming a skilled renovator, property manager, and investor herself.
Creating and experiencing the results and lifestyle she has, Karysa is passionate about showing others the possibilities and opportunities available in real estate, helping them explore and create a better future.“I am amazed what real estate can provide and I want to help others explore a better future too”.
Doug Meyers
Doug is a former mining engineer who used real estate investing to provide the income to leave his previous full-time employment. This gave him the opportunity to pursue other passions and business interests with his full attention. He has a portfolio of condos, duplexes, and triplexes across Western Canada, and is a partner in an active flipping business in Saskatchewan.
An award winning investor and Keyspire Success Story, Doug is the host of RevNYou’s very own RevNYou with Real Estate Podcast where he interviews real estate investors in all walks of life. He is also the host of The Grow Give Expand Podcast, where he speaks with entrepreneurs and business owners, uncovering the personal practices and systems that help them live successful, meaningful lives.
